Christmas Roundup
The holidays are upon us! We’re unloading our trailer full of the most amazing goodies for one of our favorite shows of the year: Christmas Roundup. This year marks the 38th Annual Christmas Roundup, and we are so excited to be included.
If you’ve never been to Roundup, it is Amarillo’s best holiday market that features the area’s best makers, retail shops, and foodies. Not to mention that the proceeds from Christmas Roundup help fund the many educational programs that the Amarillo Museum of Art offers, like museum School, Summer Art Camps, ArtSmart Senior Programming, Docent-led Tours, Regional School Outreach, Lectures and Gallery Talks just to name a few!
Come see us this weekend!

Thanksgiving Tablescapes + Decor
November is upon us, which means Turkey Day will be here before you know it! The days are getting shorter and the weather is starting to get a little cooler, so why not start planning an amazing vintage-inspired Thanksgiving treat for all the guests you’ll be hosting this holiday season.
Cloches
If you’re missing a little something to amp up your décor game, vintage cloches are the perfect addition. They come in all shapes and sizes, and make your vignettes feel a little more complete.
Milk Glass
If you’re going for simple elegance, white is the way to go! Milk glass items come in a wide variety like bowls, plates, and even bud vases. The simple designs make a huge impact on any shelf or table.
Napkins
Vintage napkins are a great addition to your tablescape. You can find them in simple or intricate patterns, and they’re available at most antique + thrift stores.
Place Cards
Adding place cards to your table makes your guests feel even more welcome. You can craft your own (like these pinecones) or find card holders at your favorite vintage store.
Pyrex Collection
As you may know, Pyrex comes in all different designs and sizes. We think that the Autumn Harvest pattern is by far the best one to display and use during the Thanksgiving season.
Tool Boxes
Antique wooden toolboxes are tucked away in every corner of The NAT. Adding some greenery and pumpkins make your tabletop really stand out!
Barware + More
When you’re setting up your dining table for the big meal, find a set of vintage glasses to make your toasts even more special! Add a vintage crochet tablecloth and you’re in business!
10th Annual Creepy Crawl
It’s that time of year again, folks! And this year is going to be even BIGGER and BETTER!
Every year the SanJac Coalition hosts the 6th Street Creepy Crawl. It is the biggest Halloween Festival the Amarillo area has to offer, and all of the proceeds benefit SnackPak 4 Kids and the SPCA. This year, 6th Street will be closed from Georgia to Carolina until 10pm. The event features fun and games for the entire family!
The NAT, along with The 806 Coffee + Lounge are now selling punch cards for the event (see below). Pre-sale cards are $7 now through October 30th, and $10 on Halloween! The event is FREE! Yes, you read that right - it’s FREE! Punch Cards are not required, but 100% of the proceeds of the sales go to charities, not to mention loads of discounts from different businesses all up and down 6th!
Do you want to join in on the fun? We are ALWAYS looking for volunteers for this event. If you’re interested in busking (grab those guitars!) or just handing out candy to the kiddos on the street, your help would be MUCH appreciated! Hop on over to The 806 Coffee + Lounge, or send them a Facebook message about how you’d like to help!

Tuesday Tip: Fall Decor
See ya next year, Summer. Your sunny, popsicle-like colors and cheerful patterns are no longer needed. Now that the weather is forcing us to (happily) take out our chunky knits and massive blanket scarves, most of us are in the mood for deep hues, rich textures and classic fall elements. Bring on the gourds and leaves and pumpkins, am I right? Now, buying a few pumpkins is one thing—what to actually do with them is a completely other matter. If you're stuck on how to bring the cozy, warm vibes into your living space, scroll on down for all the fall inspiration.
Entryways
Unfortunately, not all of us have a great front porch to showcase our fab fall decorations. But it is just as great to spill those ideas over into your entryway! Warm botanical prints + cozy pillows are a great option.
Less Isn’t Always More
Fall only comes around once a year, so why not go all-out? When it comes to pumpkins + gords, the many always look better than the few.
Patio
Warm up the hot cocoa, light up the fire pit, and curl up on your patio! Garlands and wreaths come in all different styles, and they always make a statement.
Gardening
Who says that platers and watering cans should stay outside? We think “planting” your pumpkins is a fantastic idea. It makes the perfect transition when the weather gets cooler.
Table-scapes
Find yourself a vintage fall tablecloth - or in this case, a fabulous blanket - and bring it all together with fairy tale pumpkins and brass candlesticks.
Apothecary Jars
Apothercary Jars are a great décor item to have year-round. Storing small pumpkins inside them is a great way to make any area feel a little more autumn-y. Not to mention that you can trade out the items inside with each passing season!
Baskets
If you’ve ever been to The NAT, you know we have a basket addiction! Whether they’re sitting on your porch or in your home, baskets are a great addition to any space. Use them to store all your cozy blankets, or if you fill them full of pumpkins, we think they’re a necessity.
Stop in this week and see some of the wonderful items that you can use to bring all of those autumn vibes right into your own home.

Did You Know?
Rosback Company is a world-leading manufacturer of book binding and print finishing equipment. Rosback has been around since 1881! Rosback’s bindery equipment machine served the printing industry, all with a foot-powered perforator! In 1889, the machine was finally modified to be powered by either a steam line or an electric motor.
These carts, known as “bindery carts” or “stock trucks,” were (and still are) essential equipment in binderies, print shops, mailrooms, and schools! They were created to be perfect for product movement, storage, and organization. They were especially useful to parts departments and stock rooms in many other industries. The large casters and rugged construction provided easy rolling on rough surfaces - even when they were loaded with up to 800 pounds!
These two vintage carts are hot ticket items in the antique world. They make great display pieces, but would also be so functional in a home. We hope that you find them as wonderful as we do!
Tuesday Tip: Vintage Halloween
Who says that Halloween décor has to be scary? It’s possible to achieve a kitschy and fun look without everything screaming BOO! Our vendors here at The NAT tend to go all or nothing when it comes to Fall + Halloween décor, and we’d like to share tricks (and some treats) that we absolutely adore!
Birdcages
Whether you have a few crows you snagged at your local craft store or if you want to create a vintage “graveyard” look, vintage birdcages do just the trick! Add a tiny caution sign and you’re in business!
Jack-O-Lanterns
Vintage jack-o-lanterns are easy to find at most antique stores. Start yourself a collection and hang them in your tree for wonderfully weird yard décor!
Go Glam
Fairytale pumpkins are our FAVORITE! Stack them on your mantle - or even your front porch - for a whimsical and glamourous vibe.
Pumpkins
If carving isn’t your thing, you can create some amazing and unique looks with a little paint! A great craft to do with the kids as well.
Simplicity
Your home doesn’t have to look like the Great Pumpkin has taken over. Pick and theme, and stick to it! We’re loving this neutral bookshelf with the understated Halloween items.
Dolls
We understand that dolls aren’t for everyone, but this kitschy wreath is right up our alley! The vintage bottle wreaths stuffed full of vintage doll parts make our vintage-loving hearts happy.
Masks
Vintage masks have SO much charm! The bright colors make them stand out among other decorations, and they’re a great conversation piece! Impress your Halloween party guests with a creative idea like this!
Whether you’re looking for great decorations for your upcoming Halloween party, or if you’re looking for a vintage costume for 6th Street’s very own Creepy Crawl, The NAT has what you’re looking for!
Vendor of the Month: October
Name: Ema Mowoe
Business Info: House of Emana
Name three words that describe you. Sassy + Outgoing + Compassionate
What items do you specialize in? Macramé!
What is your favorite place to source products? I love finding unique objects to work into my macramé projects, so I really love coming to shops like The NAT and other flea markets to find items.
What is your most prized possession that you've made over the years? I made a large macramé wall hanging that is being used for backdrops in some weddings! You can find it in the October issue of Amarillo Magazine.
Where do you find inspiration? Most of my inspiration comes from African textiles, and nature. I love looking through photos of textiles and vines and mimicking those looks in my work.
How do you spend your time when you aren't at The NAT? I’m a full-time nurse at BSA, and I’m a mother!
What's your personal motto? One of my favorite quotes is, “Just when the caterpillar thought her life was over, she became a butterfly."
